Steps-Ahead

Steps-Ahead's goal is that every student, student athlete and students with disabilities complete their college education.  What are you waiting for???  In reaching this, the students will be evaluated as to their athletic skill level and educational interest.  Students with documented disabilities will be assisted in this process.  In development is a state of the art computer lab along with mentoring and tutoring services.  We will track each student and student athlete's progress throughout high school so that high school graduation is achieved and NCAA requirements are fulfilled so that student athletes are recruit able.  SAT and ACT test preparation will be available for all students.  Admission standards A-G requirements for University of California colleges and California State Universities  requirement will be address.  Towards the end of the students and student athletes high school career Steps-Ahead will work to produce letters of recommendation and assist coaches to produce recruitment letters of introduction and highlight footage for presentation to colleges.

With Steps-Ahead I was most impressed with the effort that was made for my daughter (Nikki James).  Your approach was enlightening for me.  It was productive.  I would encourage any student athlete and their parents to get involved with Steps-Ahead as early as possible.  Nikki is attending University of California at Riverside (Track and Field).

 I would like to thank Steps-Ahead for all of the hard work in giving my son (Tim Parks) the opportunity to attend college through athletics.  The perseverance and desire to assist young athletes has helped me to do what I wanted to do but was unsure of the steps.  The Steps-Ahead program for young athletes male and female wanting to attend college has benefited many.  Through your efforts and encouragement my son is attending the University of Montana (Football) in his senior year majoring in sociology (Graduating Spring 2009).  Thank you for your compassion for young men and women today.
